FROST BOOK BATTLE 2011-2012
What is the FROST BOOK BATTLE?
The Frost Book Battle is a reading quiz program designed to encourage recreational reading of a specific genre of literature, to improve reading comprehension, and to share books through written and oral expression. It is named after Cimino Elementary's beloved first principal, Sandra Frost.
WHO PARTICIPATES?
Our 3rd Grade students have listened to and read all 9 books. Each class participated in a literature study of these titles. At the end of the unit , a qualifying test was given to determine which students would represents their class in the school Battle. There will be 3 students on a team with a 4th as an alternate. Nine teams will engage in a friendly competition. However, every student who has read the books is a winner, because of the knowledge gained in reading good children's literature!
